FS Romania Offers Support to FS East Teams

Dear FS East participating teams,

We were truly saddened to hear about the cancellation of Formula Student East 2025. We fully understand how much effort and dedication your teams have invested, and we stand in complete solidarity with all of you during this challenging moment.

At Formula Student Romania, we are working closely with the FSEast organizing team to identify a highly advantageous solution for the affected teams who wish to continue their competition journey this season by participating in FS Romania 2025.

Our goal is to ensure that no team loses the chance to compete and validate the results of a full year of hard work. We are ready to assist you with logistical arrangements, document alignment, and technical compliance, to make your participation as smooth and accessible as possible.

Save the date: August 18 - August 23, 2025. Join us as we continue the Formula Student Romania competition!

We look forward to greeting new and returning teams for another exciting year of designing, constructing and racing single seater racecars, which is open to all teams of undergraduate and postgraduate university students.

Registration Procedure

In order to submit your technical documentation for FS Romania, it is necessary to create a team profile for FS Germany as well as participate in the FSG 2025 quiz.

As FSG no longer offer a competition for CV teams, but would like to continue to support the other competitions with their tools, CV teams can still register on FSG website for the next season. Every captain of a CV team can do this via a simple button in the team area (FSG website). A quiz for CV teams is not necessary and therefore not possible. 

Important information: You do not have to be on the FSG 2025 starting list! This implies that your score on the quiz does not matter if you are not going to attend FSG 2025, but you still need to finish it in order to submit technical documentation for FS Romania 2025. Documents related to the FSRo competition will be submitted using FSG website.

The main registration will open on January 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM EET (GMT +2)*.
The electronic form will be available here only at the opening date at the end of the countdown.
The slots available for the event are 32 teams for Class 1, as follows: 20 CV and CV-HY, 12 EV with optional DV.

Also, there will be 5 slots for the Design Review category: Class 2, available for any category, CV or EV and also 5 slots for Oldtimers Challenge. For additional information, please refer to the Handbook.

Registrations will be accepted in the order they will be received, first come – first registered principle. The list of registered teams will be published on line.

After registration, teams will have 72 hours (3 workind days) to pay the entry fee. If proof of payment is not provided, the team will be deregistered and the places will be filled with teams from the waiting list.

In the registration form you will have to fill in the following details:

• Team Name

• University

• Country

• Team Captains Name

• E-Mail Address

• Class CV or EV (with optional DV)

• Billing Address 

For the FSRo 2025 competition, places are guaranteed, without registration, for the first three teams ranked in the FSRo 2024 edition on each categories. These are T.U. Iasi Racing - Romania, DEU Racing - Turkey and ESTU Racing - Turkey for combustion vehicles and PK MechPower - Poland for electric vehicles.

*if places remain available they will either be redistributed between participating classes (from CV to EV or the other way round) or the registration period will be extended but no later than 31 March 2025. For any questions, please contact us at info@formulastudent.ro
